Hand-painted Russian lacquer miniature Swan Lake ballet jewelry box
When we say Russian ballet, we imply Swan Lake. Tchaikovsky's masterpiece is a must in tourist routes of Saint Petersburg, usually mentioned second after visiting the Hermitage.
This lacquer box was made following the technological and artistic traditions of old Kholui Art. Magnificently handcrafted with paper mache, this decorative box was hand-painted with egg-tempera. The exterior is painted with black color while the interior completed with red. The box is decorated with a gold pattern and hinged on the top.
Size 3.9 x 3.1 x 1.2 inches or (10 x 8 x 3 cm).
