It's shadow boxed with a
printed copy
of the news article about this being the first truck in the line.
Article has notation "1949" which I understand to be the year published.
The badge belonged to the driver mentioned and shown in the article, as you can see by the initials JTM on the badge.
This is an extremely rare piece and a must have for either Lane or trucking memorabilia collectors!
