Tone Man Guitar prebuilt 50's wiring kits will improve your guitars overall tone. Your sound will be stronger, tighter and improved clarity.  Notes will open up with greater sustain. Tone and Volume controls are very responsive and smoother.  By rolling back your volume some you can clean up an over driven amp.  One of my favorite things is the elimination of much of the treble loss when you roll the volume down.  All kits are carefully custom hand wired to order.  Only the best quality parts are used including vintage Gavitt cloth push back wire just like they used back in the 50’s and 60’s. You will not find a better a better product or selection.
The 59 2 Control Kit uses Paper In Oil K40Y vintage tone cap for improved overall performance.  Excellent clarity, aged vintage warm and woody tones with improved sustainability.  These caps are better than Bumble Bee or Vitamin Q's.  We have found no better cap.  All wired 50's style with premium new components that perform better than the stock electronics found in today's guitars.  You will hear and feel the difference.
This Kit Is For:
Single humbucker style guitar with one volume and one tone control. Solid body or hollow body. Top grade parts with vintage cloth wiring for the very best tone quality.  The location of the pots and input jack can vary on your guitar.  Check measurements of kit listed below. I will modify jack wire length to fit your guitar if needed (6 inches or less for the jack wire).  If you are not sure if this unit will fit your guitar or have a question send me an email with brand, model and description.  If you can send a picture.

50’s wiring for the very best vintage tone.
Bourns High Grade Low Friction 500K
Potentiometers. Short Split Shaft Audio Taper 15% Tolerance. Brass bushing with metal shaft.  Long Life Carbon Element. Comes with nut and dress washer.
Paper-In-Oil K40Y-9 Vintage 0.033uf Vintage Tone Cap (Qty 1 cap)
Cloth Gavitt Push Back black 22awg wire for pot connection for ground
Gavitt vintage braided push back wire for jack wire run
Switchcraft 1/4 jack for sold rock connection.
Assembled template hard board.
Note the template does not get installed.

Tone Cap Option: We recommend the cap value that come standard with this kit for the very best Gibson Style Vintage Tone but if you prefer the .022uf listed below tone cap option add a note to the order when purchased and I will substitute if I have cap in stock.

In stock quantity means I have the parts to build that quantity of kits.  You will receive a USPS Ship Tracking number once shipped.
I personally prefer Bourns potentiometers over all other brands including CTS.  I have found them to be smoother, responsive and longer lasting.  The very best taper available.  These pots are 18 spline shaft so USA type knobs will not fit without first pinching the top of the split shaft together a little and slowly push the knob on.  Epiphone and off shore type will fit fine.  We do offer a line of knobs that fit.
If you have an imported / outside of USA manufactured guitar you may need to modify the potentiometer holes to 3/8 inch to accommodate the full size Bourns pots.
