  • Condition: Perfect, old, no chips, cracks, damage, repairs, of any kind to the bowl, pot, jardiniere porcelain pot! R...w..d stand, is old and has a few chips, a couple small pieces missing. We have owned this for 30+ years, bought at Asian Family Estate Sale in San Francisco in mid 70's. Beautiful, geisha girls, flowers, birds, pinks, greens, blues, GOLD, beauty all around & inside, gold fish, shrubbery, plants inside pretty as well. Comes with stand, made for old too!

    CHINESE Early 20th CENTURY LARGE FAMILLE ROSE PORCELAIN FISH BOWL
    WITH BEAUTIFUL
    HAND PAINTED
    GOLD
    GILT, FINELY DECORATED WITH
    HAND PAINTED AND VIBRANT
    ENAMELS WITH A BEAUTIFUL SCENERY,
    PEOPLE/GEISHA's,
    Birds, Butterflies, Rose's, Flowers.  Inside of bowl is
    painted w/red fish, sea grasses & more.
    Fish symbolizes fertility

    wealth and abundance.
    This is an authentic antique fish bowl
    .
    We purchased form an old Asian Family's Estate in the mid-70's
    .
    Underside is slightly glazed over the official red seal, rim not glazed,
    which is typical for this time period.
    Measures: 8.75" (off r...w..d stand!) 10.25" outer rim, 8.25 inside rim, 7"deep,
    10"top of bowl under decorated rim, tapers down slightly to 9",
    then rolls down to a 7"base. Comes w/R...w..d Stand,
    used to fit perfectly me thinks the dry AZ air shrunk it a little, doesn't fit
    as snug as it did when we bought it, still works good! Beautiful piece.
