    Description

    Early Antique Chinese Metal Pot Vessel SIGNED. Two separate stamp marks on base. Oval stamp mark is slightly worn making it difficult to read. 4-character stamp mark appears to read "This work made by YíYòng" (Běnzuò Yíyòng). Workmanship of piece indicates it was produced for use as opposed to display. The pottery appears to be made of a mixed metal. Side of vessel is decorated with Zhou Dynasty era style Bronze Script. Each character is lined with small circular stamps creating a scale like pattern. The border pattern on the top and bottom of the vessel follow the same stamped pattern. There is a significant amount of wear to the piece from age and use, but overall in good antique condition. There is surface scraping on the border on one side and loss to the enamel paints. There is a fair amount of denting around the top of the piece. Measures approx 4.25" wide and 3.75" tall. Shipped with USPS Mail.
