2020 EVH Frankie Relic, Frankenstrat, 5150 Striped Series Drilled ‘71 Quarter

Note: Due to the national coin shortage getting ‘71 quarters has become increasingly difficult. For the first time since Dec. 6th 2020 I ran out of ‘71 Quarters in mid July. I don’t have a lot of them so please don’t wait!
Each buyer will receive:
- 1 authentic 1971 Washington quarter dollar that has been drilled and relic’d (with notch on outside edge) to replicate the one found on Eddie Van Halen’s iconic “Frankenstrat” plus 2 relic’d screws.
WHY HAS IT BEEN SO HARD TO FIND A ‘71 Quarter?
Answer(s):
1. The United Stated Mint encountered several issues throughout the minting process of 1971 Washington quarter dollars. This resulted in a great many 1971 quarters being destroyed by order of the US Treasury immediately following minting. My research shows that as few as 1/3 of the normal number of quarters were circulated in 1971 compared to other years of the era. (Just 2.5 million)
2. It’s 50 years old for crying out loud!
3. Your couch is too small! (if you had a sectional you’d have more cushions to look in. (Right?)

**BUT I HAVE A ‘71 QUARTER…I have been contacted by by many people who found a ‘71 quarter. I have a collection of maybe 100 pics of BUYERS attempts at replicating the features of the Frankenstrat quarter. (my first attempt as bad as the worst ones) This is because it is quite difficult without the proper tools, process and technique. I have made a significant financial investment in the tools, supplies and dangerous chemicals necessary to properly (and safely) recreate this iconic feature. The largest investment I’ve made is in my time. In the last 8 months I’ve MADE AND SOLD MORE THAN 750 EVH STYLE QUARTERS. I’ve developed an ever evolving process and technique for making the best recreation you can buy. I do ALL of this with your satisfaction in mind.
Having something I MADE on hundreds of “this awesome guitar” I remember seeing in the video for “Jump” on MTV when I was just 7 years old is an both an honor and humbling.
