Q ~ How do I keep my paint from bleeding underneath my stencil?
A ~ Too Much Paint on your brush or sponge. Stenciling is a "dry-brush technique". After dipping your sponge into your paint you need to remember to wipe away excess paint first (I use a paper towel or paper plate) and keep tapping your sponge to "work the paint" into it. Your brush or sponge will appear to be "dry" but there is plenty of paint to stencil with.
Need the image darker?
Repeat the application but remember to wait for the first layer to dry. Stenciling can be fun and a fast way to produce many items but it's also something that gets better with practice. Keep trying ~ it does get easy.
